I. LEGAL STATUS OF THE ORGANIZATION:
Rural Association for Integrated Development (RAID) is an independent and secular organization that is working for the development of the poorest of the poor people. Our main-focus is to development of women & children particularly in the fields of health, education and social. RAID association has been registered under Tamil Nadu State Societies Registration Act, also under Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act of Government of India, the FCRA registration has been renewed for five years. RAID has obtained the income tax exemption of the Income tax act 1961 under the Section Tax Exemption 12A[a] & Exemption under 80G, both the certificates have been renewed for five years.

c) To educate people to be aware of the existing forces in the community & in themselves which hinder their development.
d) To educate people to be aware of the existing forces to create Awareness people of the situation through leadership meeting. Cultural activities audio- visual inter village youth seminars & women programmes etc., etc.,
e) To promote self-employment activities.
f) These activities shall be carried out without involving any activity for profit.

Project area: Krishnagiri & Dharmapuri districts.
We have started this home called ‘PRASANTH SIRUVER ILLAM’ for the orphan, semi orphans, broken family children and the poor children in the society with the above objectives. Initially with the help of Late MR. Ramsamuj the home was started and now we are managed to continue the home with local and overseas well-wishers and others.
Prasanth Siruver Illam has been run by NGO called RURAL ASSOCIATION FOR INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT (RAID), the Prasanth Siruver Illam, is legally register under Juvenile Justice Act and valid up to 24-02-2025. The Prasanth Siruver Illam, 1/1-B, Rajacity, Thottagiri Road, Avalapalli Post, Hosur – 635 109 of Tamil Nadu as an institution for children in need of care and protection under section 41(1) of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of children) Act 2015.
VI. PRASANTH SIRUVER ILLAM (HOME FOR CHILDREN): –
19 children have been supported by Prasanth Siruver Illam during this reporting period.
17 children are being care and protection under CCI (inmates of Prasanth Siruver Illam),
02 children are being given external support for their higher education,
VI. 1. Children under CCI (Child Care Institution): –We have renewed the admission of the 14 old same children to the home, 3 children are being newly enrolled during this reporting period, whereas the 5 old children were discharged from the home. The enrolment and discharge children from home have been officially approved and got order from District Child Welfare Committee-Krishnagiri, therefore 12 children are in the home at the end of this reporting period.

These 12 children stay in the Prasanth Siruver Illam where they are being given food & accommodation, the accommodations of comprising of a large hall, kitchen, 5 bedrooms, a storeroom and an office room are being under underutilization. These children will be given support for food, snacks, medical, cloths, uniforms, education materials, counselling, career guidance, vocation education etc. Mr Andrew MacLeod and Mrs. Shanthini are being supporting education and social development of the children.

VI. 2. Education of Children: – The 12 children (and 5 discharged children) were enrolled in the nearby government formal school they are progress in their lessons. All the enrolled children promoted to the next class mean all the children have passed their final exam and the following children are staying in the home and their studies:

Remarks: – The home has been admitted only boys hence it’s running has boy’s home. The children are happy that they are admitted in the home& having good opportunity for the education with Shelter & safety, children have given access for adequate water & power, beds, dress, play materials etc. 12 Children are being stayed in the CCI during this reporting period where the approved strength would be 21 children. VI. 4. After Care Institution (Prasanth Siruver Illam)
During this reporting period NO children enrolled in After Care because Child Welfare Committee Krishnagiri Dist., was given any after care children in spite of our request.
Remarks: – Children are continuing their education by attending classes we could assess the progress of the children. Monitory support has been given to the children was good. Accesses for the higher studies/education for poor children is positive & great help for them and continued the support to the children those who have discharged from Prasanth Siruver Illam. The children have accessed all the support for their education is positive and it gives them confidence, particularly for the higher education. External education support to be continued because the children have to complete their education without dropout.
VI. 4. Follow up of children progress: – During this reporting period we have did three types of follow-ups.

Remarks: – Rapport with the teachers and the HMs of the schools are good during the Corona the Prasanth Siruver Illam worked as bridge between student and the school teachers in terms of supply of text books and supporting internet facilities for online classes and off line classes. Supply of education materials based on the semester system insists more materials and Aids which have been supplied for the children is good that helped children to buoyancy on their studies.

VI. 6. FACILITIES FOR THE GROWTH: –
Food: -A. Every child who is staying in the home Prasanth Siruver Illam has been given daily three times food, periodically the children used ask about their like /desire foods and give them the food. Non-Veg food also is given once in month. We were providing sufficient vegetables, greens, milk, egg, pulses; nuts are being given by every day evening in order to respond the needs of the children’s nutrition value by the help of Mrs. Pushphalatha.
B. The children those are poor who have stayed in their home during the leave time, we were given provision like rice, dal, oil etc. It is only limited families.
VI. 7. Health: –
B. De-worming Tablets were given all the children during August and February.
C. Pericardially awareness programms/demo have been conducted, on self-hygiene, general health, immunity, and some of the diseases.
Remarks: – 95% of the children become healthy & now the nutrition food have to be continued. The eye check-up has been given it is good.

VI. 9. Tour /Visit: – This time we have not carried this activity due to lack of fund.
VI. 10. Extra-curricular activities: –
All the children were participated in the following activities irrespective of age and classes, where they participated & enjoyed the process. These activities are brought their skills, talents etc. Some of the children were showed their talents. All to gather these activities have given them enjoyment as well confidence.

Enough places for play activities are being available in the layout; children enjoy playing and participating in the cultural programmes
VI. 11. Supplementary class: –
Remarks: Supplementary and the ITK classes are given the children access for doing home-work, doubt clarification etc.
VI. 12. Sharing meeting: –
Four sharing meetings have been conducted while free sharing the children were shared their feeling towards family, their future. Some of the children have explained their feeling and less interest on their education. Few children expressed their family problems which their father/mother left the home and facing problem.
Remarks: This sharing meeting is giving them to share their emotions, feelings which identifies their behaver and the hidden motives etc.
VI. 13. Children Group: –
The all the children are in one group & no committees in this reporting period. The group meet once in a month to discuss the matters related education, health, food, gardening, cleanliness, and other needs corona etc. Children monthly meeting will be conducted by Prasanth Siruver Illam’s staff, minutes of the children’s meeting are being maintained. As such 10 meeting have been conducted during this reporting period.
Remarks: – Thechildren participation in the discussions in various matters are good. Positive & negative measures have discussed and implemented was good in this situation. The confusion and identity have been some extents have been raised.
VI. 14. Parent’s meeting: – Two meeting was conducted during this reporting period where the children education and the family income have been discussed in the parent meeting. The closing of CCI (Child Care Institution) also be discussed.
Remarks: This meeting are helping the children, parents and the management to understand the parents and the children’s views and their situations etc. However, parents are not aware about the need of the parents meeting which is to be concentrated.

VI. 16. Home Management Committee (HMC): – Three Home Management committee meetings were conducted during the reporting period under the chairmen ship of District Child Production Officer, the HMC meeting will conduct once
in three months, 1 meeting was conducted out of 4 meetings. The meeting minutes and the quarterly report have been submitted to DCPO.
The Home Management committee have been observed following matters.
Remarks: This HMC meeting review the activities of the home and the performs of the staff hence it’s a stack taking meeting.
VI. 17. Individual Plan: – Under the guidance of the DCPU and the CWC Krishnagiri District we have written Individual Care Plan for each child of 18 children. The Individual Care Plan will indicate the progress of a child and his needs & wants. The report will be written every month and once in three months assessment has been carried out by the Home Management Committee and during the visit of DCPO, CWC and JJ-members.
Remarks: This ICP is giving an idea of the progress and non-progress of each child on different field of child routh, however it need to be improved.
VI. 18. Online Entry & Update data on the websites
VI. 19. STAFF: – The staff paten has been changed as per the Government rules. So, some of the staff has been working as paid staff (with salary) and some of the staff is working as Non-paid / Honorarium without receiving salary. Twelve staff is being directly working in Prasanth Siruver Illam home for children (6 are being paid staff and 7 are non-Paid staff) without the support of the staff it would have not possible to run the home smoothly and successfully.
(We have tried to recruit two staff where we could not find suitable person, however we will recruit staff for the next year)
Remark: – Staff Child welfare officer turnover was more and the post was vacant during the end of this reporting period whichgives us for difficult function of the home, however somehow it was managed. The paid & non paid staffs are being doing their work properly, whereas more staff which may resulted confections.

Continuous supporters form Mrs. Shanthini & Ms Anousha from UK and Mr. Andrew MacLeod (Pig Training SL) & Mrs Maria from SPAIN to RAID’s project particularly for the PRASNTH SIRUVER ILLAM for the basic needs and higher studies support salaries to security guards etc. on which we express our thanks for their support. In their support we are maintaining the Prasanth Siruver Illam and supporting the children’s families during this reporting period. They support higher studies for the college going children to complete their degree. We feel it has been great help for the children for their family to develop their education and status etc. where we wish them for their support and guidance and pray for their continue support in the future.

VII.3. Prasanth Siruver Illam carried out the Mission Vatsalya Project supported by District Children Protection Officer Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu.
The above CCI- Prasanth Siruver Illam has been received RS. 8500/- from District Child Protection Unit-Krishnagiri in order to carry out the below mentioned activities of Swachhta Hi Sewa-SHS of the Mission Vatsalya project. We have given instruction by DCPU-Krishnagiri that along with DCPU- Mission Vatsalya Project-SHS contribution of RS. 8500-00, CCI must incurred its contribution for the activities and submit account and the activities report to DCPU-Krishnagiri on or before 10-08-2024. As such the following activities have been carried out.

Under the instruction/guidance given by DCPU-Krishnagiri wide its letter dated 11-07-2024 the activities have been carried out at Prasanth Siruver Illam at Hosur where the narrative activity report along with photos and account on each head have been furnished here under.
II-1. Activities on personal Hygiene of children and staff in CCIs such as Trimming nails, washing hands, cleaning of wardrobes, etc. Children to be encouraged to keep their hands clean by washing regularly with soap and water.
Activities on personal Hygiene of children and staff in children care Institution have been carried out by the nine children and four staff of Prasanth Siruver Illam. All the children are trimmed their nails and washed their hands in a proper manner, cleaned their beds and of wardrobes. In fact, the activities have been helped the children to regain the awareness about the personal Hygiene. All the children have cleaned their respective wardrobes and their boxes etc. these activities have been carried out once in a month. Every child has been encouraged to wash their hands regularly with soap and water, before eating food or snacks, after the play and when they come from outside.
II-2. Ensure proper cleaning and frequent sanitization of the CCs, particularly of the frequent touched surfaces.
We are cleaning and sanitization of the CCI. Every day the touched surfaces of hall rooms, bathrooms and toilets etc. have been cleaned.
II-3. Fumigation of premises, provision of cleaning drinking water regularly and cleaning of storage tanks.
We have done fumigation of premises with sambrani and charcoal where we use to carry out this fumigation once in a week. (Rooms, halls, toilets bathrooms and kitchen.) All the children having provision of clean drinking water regularly by the RO water plant, 25 liters per hour. We have done service the RO water machine during this Mission Vatsalya project activities in order to ensure the clean and safe drinking water.

We have cleaned the overhead drinking water tanks which are on the first floor (3 tanks each 1000 litters capacity) a person was hired for labor and we the staff helped him and completed the cleaning of all the tanks. We have cleaned the sump which is 10000 liters capacity and the corporation has mixed/put medicine in to the sump.
II-4. Ensure regular supply of hand sanitizer, soap and running water in the wash room of CCIs.
We are supplying soap, sanitizer, floor wash etc. and enough water to wash their hand and take both we have providing solar hot water.
II-5. Orientation programme on water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in CCIs.
Orientation on Health, Hygiene and Cleanliness for the children and staff of Children Care Institutions are being conducted by 11 children (2 new children) and 4 staff of Prasanth Siruver Illam were participated. In Physical health body growth, balanced food, (Carbohydrate, minerals, vitamins Iron fat etc.) and personal hygiene teeth brushing, washing hands, bathing, cutting of nails, wearing of washed cloths etc., cleanness of soundings keeping beds clean, cleanness of room, toilets & bathrooms and our side etc. were discussed. Important of the water and how to use the water with thrift. The children and the staff of the CCI have decided to continue this kind of discussion in the future also in order to create awareness and keep on reminder them. In fact, the activities have been helped the children to regain the awareness about the Health, Hygiene and Cleanliness.
II-6. Toilet should be adequate in number, accessible and child friendly.
At present 12 children are in the CCI where six toilets and six bathrooms are available which is adequate in number and adequate water facilities.
II-7. Nutri-kitchen Garden development in CCIs.
We (children and the staff) have developed a nutria-kitchen garden with in the CCI premises, all the children and the staff were dig up the soil with spade and leveled and put seed. We are looking after the nursery. The vegetable will be used for cooking in the CCI once the plant grows.
II-8. Plantation drive in the CCIs.
We (children and the staff) have carried out a plantation drive in the CCI. Plant have been planted in the CCI campus and outside of the campus. We have explained the importance of tree.
II-9. Group Discussion on Health, Hygiene and Cleanliness for the children and staff of CCIs.
Group Discussion on Health, Hygiene and Cleanliness for the children and staff of Children Care Institutions are being conducted by six children and four staff of Prasanth Siruver Illam were participated. In Physical health body growth, balanced food, (Carbohydrate, minerals, vitamins Iron fat etc.) and personal hygiene teeth brushing, washing hands, bathing, cutting of nails, wearing of washed cloths etc., cleanness of soundings keeping beds clean, cleanness of room, toilets & bathrooms and our side etc. were discussed. The children and the staff of the CCI have decided to continue this kind of discussion in the future also in order to create awareness and keep on reminder them. In fact, the activities have been helped the children to regain the awareness about the Health, Hygiene and Cleanliness.
II-10. Art and Craft activity with children on ‘Best out of Waste”
We have purchased some of the materials for the Art & craft activities for the SHS project and used the waste materials like newspaper, cardboard boxes, bangles, plastic bottles etc. We have carried out the Art activities by 11 children and four staff of Prasanth Siruver Illam they were drowned drawing on the Swachhta theme, health and cleanness etc. in the KG card board and colored the drawing, which have been displayed in the CCI. The children were asked about their drawing they also explained the concept of their drawings. We have carried out the Art activities by 11 children and four staff of Prasanth Siruver Illam they were craft designs by using the waste materials like flowers, vehicles, wall decorations, holders Etc. and that have been displayed in the CCI. The children and the staff were enjoyed while doing this craft work and still they wanted to continue the craft work in the future also.

II-11. Display Swachhta message on the website(s) and through wall painting at all CCIs.
The Swachhta Bharat message picture was selected by the children and the staff and we have called the artist and bargained with him and he carried out the wall painting on the building wall at Prasanth Siruver Illam in order to
spread the Swachhta Bharat message through this wall painting in the CCI campus. The painting is really conveying the message of Swachhta Bharat to the children as well as the public.
II-12. Curb the use of Single-Use plastic (SUP) and discourage use of plastic in the office.
We are not using Single-Use Plastic in the office as such in the future also we follow to curb the use of Single-Use plastic.
II-13. Inspection of cleanliness of rooms, toilets, food, clothing etc. by children committee.
All the fifteen children in the CCI and the four staff were formed in to two groups and inspected the cleanliness of the six rooms, four toilets, three bath rooms and the kitchen and found that all of these are good and clean. These group inspected the cloth washing area and the surrounding area of the inside and outside of the campus and found that it was kept neat and clean. The inspection would have given the inspiration to keep clean of surrounding and belongings etc.
II-14. Use of waste material to generate energy for cooking gas.
We could not carry out this activity because we are in the town area no access for bio gas, where we may use rarely fire wood (waste wood) for cooking.
II-15. Organize a Webinar, Worker shop, Film shows, poem competition on health and Sanitation on Swachhata.
Work shop has been carried out on the health and Sanitation all the 11 children and four staff have been participated where health of personal hygiene and sanitation were explained and some areas have been given demo. Film show have been showed through Video in the Lap-top, on the topic of health and sanitation in the CCI where by fifteen children and four staff of Prasanth Siruver Illam were participated. Health & Hygiene are the topic of the video, growth of the human body and its related needs and wants, the complications etc. In terms of Hygiene personal hygiene cleanness of surroundings etc. In terms of sanitation the cleanness of toilets, bathroom, availability of water and draining of waste water etc. Saving of water and energy were showed in the video. Poem competition has been conducted, where we have given this task to the 10 children, they have written the poem in Tamil all the poems are being read out and the meaning were given by the writers two of the best among the poems were selected and given them appreciation and a small gift to the two children.
II-16. Organize a VC/meeting with field formations for the dissemination of information and to review the preparedness, in between and at the end of the Pawhwada.
We have not organized Video Conference meeting as such. The need of the VC meetings is not required because all the children and the staff are in the same place. However, we have organized three meetings.
Third meeting has been organized where all the planned activities have been completed and in the meeting report and accounts were finalized. In the meeting thanks has been expressed to the Mission Vatsalya and DCPO-KGI having been given chance to experience the concept of the activities thanks to one all and also expressed thanks to the participants.
Remarks: All the children were participated in all the activities where they enjoyed and discussed about the environment and they did group work with out any quarrel where they supported each other.

VIII. LUCKY TUITION CLASSES (A PILOT PROJECT):
Rural Association for Integrated Development has been started a pilot project called Lucky Tuition classes at its premises 1/1-B, Rajacity, Thottagiri Road, Avalapalli Post, Hosur-635109 during June 2024 with the following objectives.
The tuition classes conducted in the evening 6.00 PM to 8.00 PM weekly 3 days and qualified/ working/experience teachers who can handle the subject very well have taken the tuition classes.
There were 24 students (both girls and boys) either for government school going children and the private school going children and primarily the neighbourhood children (student) secondarily other children (Student) have benefited. All the subject has been taken.
Remarks: The tuition classes given the children confidence and given them courage to face those who are writing public exam and the final exam. All the tuition children passed so 100% result.
IX. CONCLUTION:
